In Gronje Medjurovo village started the the Open championship in 3D Eventing and fourth round of Open championship of Serbia in remote riding for 2015. The host is Equestrian club that has the state champion in these disciples. This sport event was opened by Palilula president Boban Dzunic.

I wish to explain why we are as a Municipality interested in this sport and why we are supporting these activities in our rural areas - emphasized president Dzunic at the opening of of the state championship in equestrian sport. Horse breeding is today in the world very much appreciable business. Serbia has ideal conditions together with good results of our contestants to provide adequate economical ambiance for the development of rural and country tourism. Some of our neighbors who already stepped into EU recognized those possibilities and very fast take this area in the Region. The thing that is very much important is the fact that the large number of young is is equestrian sport. There is an interest. Palilula Municipality is helping to realize certain club activities but it is not enough to improve this economical branch.

The importance of common cooperation in organization of these manifestations is emphasized also by the general secretary of the Association for equestrian sport of Serbia of Olympia FEI Predrag ilic.This is the exam of readiness for the contestants, but in this way we are also inspiring and giving impulses to all the potentials, promoting tourism, sport, life environment protection and inspire young people. Nis is a regional center in very good position and the thing that we are here is the introduction to certain new projects, emphasized Ilic. Contestants from many equestrian clubs from Nis, Belgrade, Vojvodina and Bor will have the opportunity to, up to August 9 in Gornje Medjurovo, show their skills in equestrian sport. They will be in a contest in jumping, dressage, remote riding- endurance race. This year competition is, according to the words of Jasna Ilijeski president of KK Nonius, the second year for Gornje Medjurovo to organize the contests in FEI disciple of equestrian sport, eventing - unique readiness exam that belong to Olympic equestrian disciples. They are also expecting the Seventh club competition Saint Petka 2015. Organizers of the competition that is organized with Palilula sponsorship are Equestrian club Nonius in Gornje Medjurovo and Association of equestrian sports of Serbia and Olympic FEI disciples.
